Wildfires

Significant quantities of hazardous material debris creates unique challenges for cleanup and recovery from the widespread destruction caused by a wildfire. Our dedicated crews have supported cleanup efforts for dozens of wildfires, including nine major disasters during the deadly and destructive 2018 season. During each event, our crews worked closely with regulators to provide management, assessment and removal of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW), asbestos containing material, and other hazardous debris from thousands of sites across California.

Catastrophic Events

As the world’s largest commercial Oil Spill Removal Organization (OSRO), National Response Corporation (NRC), a US Ecology company, has responded to more major spills than any other national OSRO, including some of the largest disasters in history. From fires and explosions, to derailments to catastrophic oil spills like Deepwater Horizon, our response capabilities and certifications enable rapid deployment of the best available resources to minimize impact to the environment and surrounding community.
